5 Things to Know About the Cub Cadet Credit Card

Cub Cadet is a manufacturer of lawn mowers, snow blowers, and other home and commercial equipment. The Cub Cadet Credit Card is a $0 annual fee credit card issued by TD Bank that allows you to finance Cub Cadet purchases online or at authorized dealers. It cannot be used for other purchases from those dealers (although dealers may also offer other financing options).

Here are five things to know about the Cub Cadet credit card.

1. It is only applicable for financing purchases in Cub Cadet

The purpose of the Cub Cadet credit card is to provide a reusable line of credit for the purchase of Cub Cadet products through authorized dealers. Cub Cadet equipment is expensive, so the ability to pay in installments can be helpful. If you are making a one-time purchase at Cub Cadet, it is best to use a general credit card that you can use for other purchases. 2. There are multiple financing options

The Cub Cadet Credit Card offers a variety of financing options, depending on your qualifications and purchase price. Please note that each time a no-interest or low-interest promotion ends, you will be charged the standard APR on the original purchase amount (as of this writing, the standard purchase APR is 29.99%).

Financing options for online purchases include:

  • 0% interest if paid in full within six months with a minimum purchase of $199.
  • 0% interest if paid in full within 12 months with a minimum purchase of $500. This option is subject to a $50 advertising fee.
  • 0% APR with 24 equal payments, minimum purchase $2,000. Promotional fee for this option is $150.
  • 0% APR for 36 months with equal payments, minimum purchase $3,000. Introductory fee for this option is $150.
  • 2.99% APR, 48 months, 48 monthly payments, minimum payment $1,500. The promotional fee for this option is $150.
  • 3.99% APR for 60 months with 60 monthly payments and a minimum payment of $1,500. The promotional fee for this option is $150.

As mentioned above, plans of 12 months or longer have a promotional fee of $50 or $150. This may not be a big deal to you, but it is certainly an additional fee to be aware of.

4. No rewards or other benefits

The Cub Cadet Credit Card does not offer sign-up bonuses, ongoing rewards or other benefits. It is designed simply to provide a way to pay for larger purchases over time.

Likewise, regular credit cards can be more flexible and beneficial. 5. Get pre-qualified without affecting your credit score

You can see if you qualify for a credit card without affecting your credit score. If you decide to go ahead with the application process, you will be subject to a strict credit check, which may affect your credit score.
